There's no denying that she loves to flash the cash from time to time. But despite her apparent love for $$$, it seems that Rihanna was more than a little hard up back in 2009, and, according to reports, was 'effectively bankrupt.'

Thanks to some *very* poor decisions on the part of her financial advisers, the superstar's fortune was blown after an ill-advised property purchase.
